Operational Terminology
- SOW
- Scope of Work. We treat this as a binding technical specification, not a sales estimate. It dictates the exact feature set and QA criteria.
- Feasibility Spike
- A 48-hour paid engagement to verify technical risk areas before committing to a full roadmap. Highly recommended for novel gameplay mechanics.
- Waterfall vs. Agile
- We use a hybrid model: waterfall for asset pipelines, agile for code. This sacrifices some flexibility for predictable delivery dates.
- Platform Cert
- The mandatory compliance check by Apple/Google. We bake this into the timeline; treating it as an afterthought is a common failure mode.
Evaluating Robustness & Limits
The Constraint: Client timelines rarely align with technical reality. We evaluate proposal robustness by stress-testing against three immutable constraints: legacy SDK dependencies, asset production throughput, and App Store review volatility.
"If a concept relies on a feature currently in beta, we add a 3-week buffer for API changes. This isn't padding; it's statistical inevitability."
Trade-off Frame: Speed vs. Accuracy
- • Benefit: Compressed timelines allow you to hit market windows.
- • Cost: Reduces iteration cycles on visual polish and micro-interactions.
- • Mitigation: We strictly enforce a "minimum viable visual quality" bar, cutting features before quality. We also limit the initial feature set (MVP approach).
Workshop Immersion
Our Rome studio features a dedicated 20-seat workshop space equipped with prototype stations and a 4K projection wall. We facilitate rapid concept validation and visual style exploration sessions here.
- Whiteboarding & Flowcharts
- Live Prototype Testing
- Hardware-in-Loop Debugging
Key Questions for Initial Alignment
Answering these prior to contact accelerates the discovery phase significantly.
What is the core gameplay loop and target retention metric?
We need to understand the "10-second" and "10-minute" engagement hooks. Knowing your target Day-1 and Day-7 retention numbers helps us architect the tech stack and analytics layer for the right scale.
Are there existing legacy systems or specific SDK dependencies?
Integration with proprietary backends, specific ad networks, or social platforms dictates our middleware choices early. Hidden dependencies are the primary cause of timeline delays.
What is the budget range and preferred timeline?
Knowing the constraints allows us to propose the correct trade-off between scope, quality, and speed. We prioritize transparency in cost vs. value engineering.
Is the concept validated or in stealth prototyping?
If the core mechanic isn't validated, we strongly recommend a Feasibility Spike (2 weeks) to validate the fun factor before committing to full production.

Studio Protocols
Security & NDAs
We operate under strict NDA. All assets are stored in zero-knowledge encrypted buckets. Access logs are retained for audit.
The IP Retention Policy
You retain 100% of the IP. We retain rights to the underlying tech architecture (SDK) unless custom-licensed. This balances cost with ownership.
Support Window
Post-launch support covers critical bug fixes for 90 days. Extended support is available via retainer. OS updates are not guaranteed without a plan.
